A beautifully turned Cherry bowl made by a very dear friend of ours, John Durose.

The Cherry wood was from a 90 year old tree in Govilon near Abergaveny in South East Wales. The tree was planted by the owner as a child.  Now in her mid nineties throughout her life she has watched it grow, admired it's blossom and picked it's fruit.  Unfortunately it had reached the stage where the tree was in danger of falling into a neighbour's garden and had to be cut down.

John was offered some of the choice pieces to make into bowls, one of which, of course, he has given to the dear lady.
